How Are We Doing?

This page is where I will keep a public record showing Camera-wiki.org’s expenses; plus the donations all you nice people have made to help keep us “on the air.”

At the moment we’ve chosen a hosting service that is pretty economical (we also got a free week for signing up). But we want to keep our options open, and be able to jump to something more scalable (though more expensive) if we start  encountering performance problems.

Update: November 2011

Apologies that this page has not been updated in a few months—other priorities got in the way. Here’s a report as of 17 November, 2011.

The short version is that unfortunately we’ve been spending money faster than it’s coming in. So we definitely need your help. Since March, we’ve only had 4 donations, and our PayPal balance now stands at $79.42.  That’s only enough to cover about two months of our hosting costs.

Our checking account stands at $41.29. Some expenses cannot use PayPal (for example, domain registration) and so this is an amount we’d like to keep in reserve for those.
